To help you become your best self!

If you know me, you know I love to read! Especially informational, self-improvement type books that help me grow and be my very best!  with practical skills you can implement into your life to improve in multiple ways!

This ‘must read’ book list is going to be full of those kinds of books. They’ll have practical skills you can implement into your life to help you grow and improve as well! Not to mention they’ll be from excellent authors — some you’ll know and some you may not.

What I put on this list will be only books that I have read myself and want to share with you. I won’t include any I haven’t read, so as to be authentic with you and 100% in favor of the books I recommend for you!

In addition to wanting to share some great books with you, part of my motivation for making this list is the fact that I have a book list a mile long for 2022, and I want to keep track of how many I actually read.

Therefore, this list will grow overtime (throughout 2022, for sure) as I complete each book.

The first book has to be Intentional Living — Choosing a Life that Matters by John Maxwell. It was the inspiration for my blog, and I have just loved his teachings, videos, and books over the years. (I read this one many years ago.)

Another favorite of mine is Dare to Lead: Brave Work. Tough Conversations. Whole Hearts. by Brene Brown. I read this a few years ago, too, but it’s so good! It was the first Brene Brown book I read but won’t be my last. For Christmas this year (2021), my mom bought me her latest book: Atlas of the Heart — Mapping Meaningful Connection and the Language of Human Experience. Once I finish reading it, you’ll likely see it in this list!

This next one is one I just finished at the end of 2021 when I decided to have a recommended reading list, so let’s start the 2022 list with this one: The 5 Second Rule — Transform Your Life, Work, and Confidence with Everyday Courage by Mel Robbins. I thoroughly enjoyed it and highly recommend it. The practical tips can immediately be implemented. As a bonus, when you purchase it, you also get access to a 31-day digital mentorship with Mel. I completed those after reading the book, and they are awesome!!

First completed book of 2022: Daring Greatly by Brene Brown! A must read. So good. Her research conducted through interviews is so sound — there’s no arguing with it! I love the truths that come from her books that open our eyes to how we can live more Wholeheartedly in our own lives. (Special thanks to my dear friend, Maribel, who bought this book for me. I loved it!)

Many more books to be added soon! Check back for more in 2022!!
